For this particular project my studio worked with a theater group, Manual Cinema, who uses puppets, projectors, and live music to tell stories and put on shows. We all had the opportunity of touring their current workspace and creating our own productions within the span of an hour. For more information, please click the button below.
For Manual Theater my partner and I started by addressing the site. This location offered some challenging elevation changes. To best represent the site, I reached out to an architectural engineering professor on our campus who possessed a Trimble device . I had experience the previous summer using a Trimble device to scan a point cloud of buildings, I referenced that and convinced him to let me borrow the device to scan the site in. In many of the drawings you will see this context rendered in around our Manual Theater.
